Manager, YouTube Operations – Entertainment Company – Job Description Template

  • Oversee all aspects of YouTube channel operations and optimization, including scheduling, publishing, analytics, insights, and strategy.
  • Work with the production team to develop new videos and formats that will succeed on YouTube based on analysis of past video metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date on and adhere to YouTube best practices, platform updates, and trends. Provide suggestions to boost subscribers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with YouTube company staff to feature content.


  • Bachelor’s degree in any area.
  • 3+ years of experience in YouTube channel management, with deep, hands-on knowledge of platform best practices.
  • Data-driven, analytical mind.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to build a channel from ground up.
  • Experience building a team is a plus.
  • Basic editorial skills (photo, video, etc) is a plus.
  • Interest in animation and kids content is a plus.
